Youths of Ediene Clan in Abak local government area under the umbrella of “Ediene Trusted Youths” have persuaded the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Abak, Dr. Emmanuel Udosen to contest for the Abak State Constituency Seat in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly come 2019.
A statement issued at the end of the general meeting of the organization which took place last Friday at Government Primary School, Ediene I and signed by the Chairman, Mr. Utitofon Victor Obot, Vice Chairman, Elder Imo Sunday Japhet, Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Sunday, Woman Leader, Mrs. Eno Inen among others, the youths said the decision to persuade Dr. Emmanuel Udosen to contest for the House of Assembly Seat was based on his antecedent and excellent track record.
The Ediene Youths in the statement pointed out that while serving as the Transition Committee Chairman, Dr. Udosen recorded remarkable achievements. They expressed the hope that with such record of achievements if he eventually accepts to contest for the Assembly Seat, Dr. Udosen would set a record in the history of representation in Abak State Constituency.
The youths described as unprecedented the landmark achievement recorded by Dr. Udosen in Abak local government council and assured him of their continuous loyalty and support.
The youth body called on the youths, women groups, Elders, stakeholders as well as traditional rulers within and outside Ediene Clan to support Dr. Emmanuel Udosen as the next House of Assembly Member for Abak State Constituency.
They thanked the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for appointing their illustrious daughter, Mrs. Ekemini Umoh into the State Executive Council as Special Adviser, Rural Development and Cooperative.
The youths vowed to massively mobilize support for the second term bid of Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
The Ediene Trusted Youths expressed appreciation to their daughter, Mrs. Ekemini Umoh for grading the Abak-Etinan Road which had been abandoned and for reviving the Ediene Unity Day Celebration.
The group appealed to the peace-loving people of Abak to support the aspiration of Dr. Emmanuel Udosen and Mr. Udom Emmanuel in 2019.
